# Clarinet V5 Risks

Status: L1 concept packet. These risks block L2/L3 promotion until they have
measured or reviewed evidence.

## Fabrication Risks

- Bore ID, length, tone-hole positions, chimney heights, and undercuts are not
  measured or reviewed.
- Temporary closures may leak, which would invalidate pitch and response data.
- Mouthpiece and reed setup can shift the effective closed-end condition.
- No CAD, DXF, design table, or measured template currently controls any cut.

## Acoustic Risks

- Quarter-wave closed-open behavior is the planning model, not a tuned scale.
- Tone-hole corrections, register behavior, and end corrections are not yet
  modeled from measured geometry.
- Pitch tests without room conditions, reed strength, and leak status would not
  be useful validation evidence.

## Authority Risks

- The existing image is a reference-only BOM inspiration screenshot.
- Generated images, prompts, screenshots, and unreviewed SVG/PDF previews must
  remain non-dimensional unless a controlling CAD/DXF/design-table authority is
  added and reviewed.
- Wolfram outputs, if later generated, are analysis support unless they produce
  explicit reviewed CAD geometry from authoritative inputs.

## Promotion Blockers

- L2: complete sourceability choices, measurement readiness, and a first
  reviewed CAD/DXF scaffold plan.
- L3: add fabrication authority for critical geometry and pass applicable
  packet, visual, and provenance validators.
- L4: add physical build, pitch, response, leak, and correction-loop evidence.
