# Guzheng Reference Assembly Manual

Readiness: `L2 prototype scaffold`. This is a hold-point sequence, not a
complete build manual.

## Hold Points

1. **Drawing review:** stop until reference-member DXF/CAD names datums, body
outline, bridge corridor, crown measurement points, bracing, end blocks, and
   string path.
2. **Material review:** stop until soundboard, rim, and end-block stock are
selected with moisture and thickness records.
3. **Dry fit:** assemble or fixture the reference body without final tension;
record bridge-corridor clearance with physical templates.
4. **Pre-tension crown log:** measure crown at all drawing-defined points.
5. **Staged tension:** add strings in controlled stages only after load-path
review; log crown movement after each stage.
6. **Creep log:** record 1h, 24h, 7d, and 30d deflection at temperature and
   humidity.
7. **Family promotion:** compact and bass variants remain blocked until all
reference gates pass and `family-spec.csv` is revised.

## Stop Conditions

- End-block movement, pin movement, rim separation, cracks, or unsafe deflection.
- Bridge feet rock on the crowned surface after staged tension.
- Bridge corridor cannot support expected travel without edge interference.
- Generated image or unreviewed sketch is being used as cut authority.
