Kora-Inspired Prototype Print Packet
Status: private review. Source: kora-design-table.xlsx.
This packet is not public-release ready. Cultural provenance review and safety validation are required before publication or full-tension demonstration.
Quick Start
- Read design.md and risks.md.
- Confirm workbook cell meanings before cutting material.
- Revise string schedule with real string data before full tension.
- Build the low-tension mule path first.
- Record all measured values in validation.csv.
Design Summary
The workbook indicates a 20.3 in diameter, 9.8 in deep segmented bowl, a 51.2 in neck, string lengths from 8.7 to 31.1 in, and a 21-string Mersenne-Taylor schedule. The segmented wooden bowl is a prototype substitute, not a traditional-material claim.
Shop Hold Points
- workbook traceability
- string percent-break check
- miter sled dry-fit
- rim/head sample test
- neck/tail proof load
- bridge/head staged pressure test
- partial low-tension stringing
- ergonomic hand-post mockup
